Street Photography is a documentary photography that features situations 

within public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls and other settings.

Documentary Photography- Refers to a type of professional journalism. 

Bill Brandt

May 4,1904-December 20,1983

Bill Brant was an influential British Photographer and Photojournalist

known for his high contrast images of British society, his distorted nudes

and landscapes. In 1931 when he moved to London he began documenting

British society. His pictures made him the most influential photographer in

the 20th century.

Berenice Abbott

July 17.1898-December 9,1991

Berenice is an American photographer and is best known for her black and white

photography of street life and Architecture in New York during the 1930's.

She began documenting New York in 1929 and published some of her work in a book 

called entitled "Changing New York" which was supported by the Federal Arts Program.

She died in Maine in 1991.
